Jades - Part 3I slipped on my coat and hung my sword over my shoulder as I made my way to my cabin door. It still felt way too heavy and the thought of using it scared the crap out of me. I crept out and shut my door as quiet as possible. Tip toeing past the massive bon fire and down to the purple line, checking my coat pocket for my token as I stepped over. I sucked in a sharp breath at the sudden crunch of dry grass but kept going until I could see the huge lump that was the strange demon. It had its back to me and its shoulders were rising and falling slowly as it took long, deep breaths. I stayed a good ten feet away just in case.
"Hello?" I whispered, although everyone had told me demons only speak demon but that's all I could think to say. The shape swung round suddenly and I jumped back another foot. I could now see two red dots glowing in the darkness,
"Hello" The demon's voice was deep and rough but didn't sound threatening.
"Gah!" I shouted stupidly, falling backwards. I hit the ground har
Jades - Part 2I was given a grand tour of the camp by Theo occasionally accompanied by Obsidian A sarcastic, messy haired guy with jet black eyes that just emanated 'I know exactly what you're thinking' Right at the end of our trip he turned to Theo and I, "You are going to need to start training straight away if you don't want to get killed" He announced, "In fact we should start now, come on!" Obsidian nodded towards the arena,
"But I thought the camp was protected from demons" I murmured,
"One, You talk really quietly. Two, You can't stay in camp forever-"
"I wasn't planning to! I just meant-" I interrupted,
"I know what you meant and I disagree"
"And your word is law now is it Obsidian?" Asked Theo, raising his eyebrows and folding his arms across his chest.
"Pretty much" He grinned evilly.
"And I don't talk quietly, jut not very loudly" My voice was no more than a whisper, I couldn't understand it I'm never this shy!
"Sorry, I couldn't hear you are you w
Jades - Part 1'Camp' was not how I had imagined it It was definitely A LOT bigger. It was obvious everything had been built around the mahoosive campfire that was burning practically whole trees. The pebble path in front of me led up to it, then continued all the way around the fire with three more leading from the left, right and back like the points of a compass. The one that lead from the left of the fire went on for a couple of metres then divided into more and more trails that entwined around at least two hundred small cabins. A quarter of the cabins were plain and dull it was obvious no one lived there, especially when the other three quarters were painted in a huge range of bright colours. Some had flowers growing around them, some had little fences surrounding their cabins and a few even had chimneys! There were people constantly coming and going, chatting and laughing you would never think these people faced death every day.
To the right of the fire another path lead off
